Special Issue of Media Asia Guest-Edited by Prof. Dr. Barış Çoban Published Online

The special issue of Media Asia entitled “Gendered Disinformation” (2025, Volume 52, Issue 4), for which Prof. Dr. Barış Çoban- a faculty member of our University’s Department of Communication Sciences-served as one of the guest editors, has been published online. The special issue brings together recent scholarly work focusing on the gendered dimensions of disinformation.

The issue’s editorial, to which Prof. Dr. Çoban also contributed- “Social media and gendered disinformation: the double-edged sword for women journalists”-outlines the overall framework of the issue and summarizes its key contributions.
