Attention to Students Whose Maximum Period of Study Has Expired Pursuant to Article 44(c)

In accordance with Article 44(c) of the Higher Education Law No. 2547:

· The maximum period of study is four years (8 semesters) for two-year programs.

· The maximum period of study is seven years (14 semesters) for four-year programs.

Applications for the Supplementary Examinations must be submitted no later than 1 July 2026.

Application results will be announced through the University’s Student Information System (OBS) on 3 July 2026, and the examinations will be held on 6–7 July 2026.

Supplementary Examinations

Students who have taken all courses included in the curriculum of their department/program and who have no more than five failed courses are entitled to benefit from the supplementary examination rights stipulated under Article 44(c) of Higher Education Law No. 2547.

At the end of the maximum period of study, students are granted two supplementary examination opportunities for all courses that they have never taken, failed to satisfy the attendance requirement for, or failed.

Students who reduce the number of failed courses to five or fewer after the two supplementary examinations will be granted examination rights for three additional semesters.

After completing and signing the application form, students must obtain the approval of their Academic Advisor/Program Chair and the confirmation of payment of the examination fee. The approved form should then be submitted either:

· by e-mail from the student’s university e-mail account to the relevant Faculty/School Secretariat in PDF or photo format, or

· in person.

The application forms received from students will be forwarded to the Registrar’s Office by the Faculty/School Secretariat after obtaining the approval of the Program Chair/Academic Advisor.

The Registrar’s Office will add the courses for which students will take the supplementary examinations to the student information system and will notify students via e-mail.

Approval of the Financial Affairs Office:

The virtual POS system for payments under Article 44/C will be available only from 03 to 05 July 2026. During the payment process, it is essential that the relevant 44/C period be selected in the virtual
