Horizon EU Programme Meeting

Horizon Europe is a framework programme by the EU for the period 2021-2027 covering the areas of science, research and innovation and Turkey is a partner to the programme. A total of 44 countries including the EU-member countries as well as candidate countries and those within the scope of the EU’s neighbourhood policy participate in the programme. Horizon Europe Programme, known as the non-governmental R&D Programme with the largest funding in the world and with a 7-year budget of 95.5 billion EUR set for the period 2021-2027 is nationally coordinated by TÜBİTAK.

The new term of Horizon Europe Programme offers a number of funds which the universities as well as research institutions can benefit from and which can contribute to improving the project capacity of the academic staff conducting research in these institutions.

With the commencement of calls for proposals within the framework of the programme, we feel the need to inform our academic staff regarding the issue.

In the meeting held on 10 May 2021 for the introduction of the programme referred to as Horizon Europe, detailed presentations were made to our academic staff by experts from TÜBİTAK.
