The security booth produced with the "smart ballistics" material application developed under the project TR10/15/YNK/0056 entitled "SMART MATERIALS: Multicultural Research, Innovation and Application Platform" carried out by the Department of Mechanical Engineering of our university and supported by Istanbul Development Agency (İSTKA) has been placed at the school entrance.
Various security applications have become possible using composite-based structures built using innovative "smart ballistics" material and ballistic test fires. As an example to this, the security booth application was manufactured by Bilsan Ltd., a partner in the project.
At the current stage of the project, the innovative material and coating systems are being developed and adapted to industrial use.
