Minor and Double-Major Programmes MINOR PROGRAM The aim of the Minor Program is to allow students who are successfully continuing their primary undergraduate education to gain academic knowledge in an additional field of interest. Students who have fulfilled the graduation requirements of their main program and successfully completed the minor with a minimum GPA of 2.00 will be awarded a Minor Certificate at the end of their graduation semester. Students in the Software Development Department are eligible to pursue a minor in the following programs: • Digital Game Design • Management Information Systems • Computer Engineering (English) • Electrical and Electronics Engineering • Industrial Engineering (Turkish/English) • Software Engineering DOUBLE MAJOR PROGRAM The Double Major Program allows students who successfully manage their primary degree programs to pursue a second undergraduate degree in a different discipline, in accordance with the qualification framework set by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK). Software Development students are eligible to pursue a double major in the following departments: • Communication Sciences • English Language and Literature • Psychology (English) • Psychology • Sociology • English Translation and Interpreting • Turkish Language and Literature • Digital Game Design • Management Information Systems • Computer Engineering (English) • Industrial Engineering • Industrial Engineering (English) • Software Engineering Students who wish to apply for a double major in the Software Development Undergraduate Program must have met the minimum base score of the relevant program in the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS), based on the required score type. To pursue a double major or minor in a program where the medium of instruction is English, Software Development students must either: pass the university's English Preparatory Program, or present a valid English language proficiency certificate (minimum scores: YDS 75, YÖK-DİL 75).
