Mission

The mission of the English Translation and Interpreting Department is to train translators/interpreters who are not only highly competent in terms of their working languages, translation/interpreting practices and theoretical approaches but also capable of thinking analytically and critically, having adopted universal values.

The vision of the English Translation and Interpreting Department is to become one of the leading departments in Turkey in the field of English translation/translation studies with respect to the quality of education and research.
